Everyone should check out Pandora.com.
It is a website using the Music Genome Project database. It allows you to create "stations" based on songs/artists you enjoy. It then plays other songs that are similar in nature based on tonality, syncopation, etc. Every music person should at least try it. It's FREE too.
I'm married and back online. More to come later.
So I've noticed that Joie is the only one of my friends that still keeps up a blog fairly consistently. Is this a cool thing or not. Hmmm. I find that I only post comments on to these so I guess I'm more of a nerd for continuing to check both vox and every other week livejournal. So here's my life update.
1. We have 107 days and counting until we get married. Honestly I don't feel prepared. Sure I'm big tough guy but deep down I don't know jack about handling money or making sure I can put food on the table. On top of this I'll still have another two semesters of college. (not a bad thing since I'll only be taking 12 hours each semester) We have a honeymoon spot reserved yet only half of the money to pay for it. We haven't started invitations, (which should be mailed by Easter), and we still have a ton of little things to finish planning. Let's move on.
2. This list thing is in honor of Joie.
3. Have just found a new band I want to listen to however, they are old. Morris Day and the Time
4. I have still not started to have any music career.
5. Even though it's Valentine's Day and the second one in a row that I haven't spent with Karen it's all good. Mainly because I'll see her next weekend.(shh...its a secret)
6. I miss hanging out in Montevallo. There I said it. I also hate that I missed the Purple Victory and all that is College Night.
7. I think I'm done.
8. Stop reading.
9. No seriously.
10. I plan on buying a Kabar utility knife sometime in the near future.
11. I am going to buy a new drumset this summer.
12. No seriously I'm seriously done typing.
13. Stop.
14. Bye.
15. Hello.
Americans wanted desperately to stay out of Europe's quarrels. Because the United States had not ratified the Treaty of Versailles, FDR had little influence over events on the Continent. Woodrow Wilson and Lloyd George had promised aid to France if Germany ever arose to threaten France from the Rhineland.-America the Last Best Hope Volume 2 by William J. Bennett
That's from my history book.
I think I may post something later. However, here is my latest find on youtube.

bam.
So my first adventure began December 14th. I was driving toward Birmingham for Karen's graduation. If you are familiar with the drive from Memphis to B'ham the quickest way is Hwy 78/I-22 Corridor. There is nothing between the cities except Tupelo Mississippi. I had made it 20 miles south of Tupelo when my back right tire exploded. Literally. So I proceed to walk 7 miles to find a mechanic which took 2 hours. I got a free tire and continued on. Karen graduated the next day and will start teaching high school next Monday full-time. I went back and worked the next week. I then traveled home to spend Christmas with my parents and then met Karen in Clarksville to spend a couple of days with her family. We opened gifts and that made her day. I then spent 3 days in Birmingham with my grandparents, 3 days in Ider, AL with my mom's side. Karen came to both. I then went to the family reunion for 3 days. This is my life during Christmas. So here's the sappy side of the story.
Karen and I received our cookware, two place settings of silverware, stockings for each of us and a pre-lit 61/2' Christmas tree. Yes these are gifts that were on our registry.(minus the tree)
I received some CDs, DVDs, and a new drumstick bag. There were a ton of other things as well. Nothing important.
Now for the first run of Oregon Trail.
To recap:
I am awesome. Joie started being depressed, got bitten by a snake twice, got cholera, and finally concluded her problems with explosive diarrhea. Erin suffered from cholera three times. Tyler only had cholera once. However, Heather was the best, minus myself. Her first update was at the last fort. She needed a cigar. Then she suffered from cholera. This proves that smoking causes cancer and bowel problems. So I finished Oregon Trail and am a Legend.
So last night I played Rock Band for XBOX360. I will say that as far as drumming goes a real drummer should play it on hard or expert because the part is almost exactly what the music is. However, you must know the song to succeed. It was fun but I'd rather play it on a real kit. Fun but not amazing. I give it an 8 out of 10 stars.
So that's my life. peace

The first one is pretty amazing especially if you like the movie "the Good, The Bad, and the Ugly." It's a little long though. The second is the classic "smells like teen spirit." The third is well you'll see. It's probably the coolest thing ever and I believe it is legit. Who cares because it's amazing.

So there is some fun stuff to take your mind off exams. I registered classes today and am extremely happy. I'll actually graduate in May of 2009. I'm also pumped about a digital composition class this spring. It should be awesome. Here's a video for all you women. Laugh loud please.

For those of you who don't know I drummed for 24 hours beginning Friday at 10am and ending Saturday at 10am. Honestly the only thing that made it tough was fighting sleep. Sure my right arm is a little tired since it is the main time keeper but I don't remember what happened from 4am-5am. This was all done to raise money to go to PASIC at the end of this month. Here's the site since many of you do not know what this conference is.

So it was a lot of fun. We basically have a mix of songs that we'd play every hour. We also had hours where we'd each take solos. Our solos at 6am turned out to be the most random ever. That was my weekend pretty much. So now I'm on youtube and have found tons of amazing videos all from Family Feud shows. Here's my favorites.
